| Project Title: Branding Project | Client: Pookielala Pet Treats | Date of Project: May 2011 | ||||||||
Pookielala.... the name says it all! A fun project to develop, but by no means an easy one. Cute and fun, the pet treats business is a busy and profitable arena to get yourself established in. A clever way my client thought of entering this market was to dispense them out of a vending machine! This extensive project covered: Logo Design, Business Stationary, Brochures, Fliers, Advertising, Bespoke Vending Machine Graphics, POS Display, Label Designs, Website and Social Media Page 'Skins'. +more
The idea behind the creative is clear, develop a fun and loveable character that represents the unconditional love that our furry friends give us. We all love our pets, and the brand wanted to reflect this. Though still in its infancy, the brand has now been launched in WA and QLD, soon to be launched in Victoria. Last but not least it will eventually be launched here in NSW. Visit Pookielala.com.au for a full run down, with a newly developed shopping cart being launched very soon! |

| Project Title: Website Development | Client: Nigel Lincoln | Date of Project: March 2011 | ||||||||
Nigel approached us to re-design his website so he could effectively showcase his new collections as he launches them seasonally. Currently, Nigel Lincoln garments are sold exclusively in David Jones and with this in mind, he wanted the site to be a platform to generate exposure for his expanding range of shirts and ties, as opposed to a 'shop'. He wanted to achieve this through various channels of social media and primarily direct these to his new website via a collections 'blog' page that would be updated on a regular basis. +more
The design sought for this project was clean and stylish lines, very much like the garments he sells. We set the site off in a rich black background to make his collection really 'pop'. This custom design was developed in Wordpress, the ideal platform for such a site with its user friendly interface its an easy to use CMS system for the busy proffesional. The felixbility Nigel now has with his website will set him up for years to come and not restrict him as some other platforms have a tendency to do. |

| Project Title: Presentation | Client: Manly Surf Festival | Date of Project: March 2010 | ||||||||
With the recent success of the 2009 Manly Festival of Surfing, the 2010 festival needed sponsors to grow the event into Australia's premier surfing festival. The projects primary goal was to expose the event to potential sponsors by reflecting on the huge success of the previous year. The presentation needed to make a clear point showing the media exposure without losing the core of the culture and feeling that is the surfing lifestyle. +more
The presentation was built in flash and allowed you to look through photo galleries, video and media clips as well as thanking those responsible for supporting last years event on a series of animated sticky notes! The presentation contained links to a live document listing all the sponsorship packages and their value which they could download at will, and more importantly at every turn in the Kombi experience! A key feature of the 2009 festival was a Kombi Rally, which turned out to be a real crowd pleaser. The Kombi is globally symbolic of surf culture, and was clearly apt for not only an event at the festival, but for the theme of the 2010 festival itself. The presentation creatively based itself inside the Kombi, looking at the surf on Manly beach. This idea really seemed to capture the moment and bring the idea to another level. All the media coverage and details from 2009 were sourced, edited down and brought to light inside an assortment of everyday lifestyle objects scattered throughout the Kombi. A blend of old and new essentials helped direct our potential sponsors to the information needed to make financially committing decisions for the festival ahead. The project was finished off by publishing and distributing the presentations on a series of branded USB sticks in the guise of both Kombi's and surfboards to really polish this creative piece. |

| Project Title: Website Design | Client: The Smartphone Company | Date of Project: December 2009 | ||||||||
A blend of creative and simple practicality was needed for this website development. Essentially a web shop, the Smartphone Company needed a site to sell specifically the latest and greatest new release smartphones online. The design needed to streamline the purchasing process as it becomes increasingly evident that buyers are looking for fast and efficient service on the web. +more
With our primary target market being tech savvy professionals, the design needed to be fresh and modern with simple and familiar navigation to direct you to purchase. News and Reviews were fed into the site, so it remained sticky and allowed users and potential customers to do their research within the site itself and make informed decisions on their purchases. A Blue and Grey colour palette kept the design fresh without feeling cold and the abstract pattern adorning the banners blended sympathetic sweeping lines to compliment the dynamic Smartphones logo. The site took on a modular approach so updating products could be managed with ease via a content management system at the back end. Clean metallic highlights mixed with colour coded pricing plans gave the site a strong aesthetic and styled retail feel to appeal to a more refined tech savvy market. |

| Project Title: Brand Development | Client: Cafe Lupo | Date of Project: February 2009 | ||||||||
A healthy new cafe was being built in Noosa on Queensland's sunshine coast. With a name and no branding, it was our job to develop a brand for this healthy and vibrant cafe. The young owners required a brand that would exude a feel good and organic flavor, something fun and inviting where people go to relax and eat fresh food and excellent coffee. The cafe featured a lounge atmosphere that with its red and brown colour palette, invited you in with warmth. +more
The logo was created using organic custom letterforms with a coffee swirl in the 'O' depicting a fun element as an iconic symbol to use across its advertising material. The brand was given a bold red colour primary swatch complemented by earthy brown tones to give it a fresh and wholesome feel. The project included the brand design and all marketing material required to launch the cafe from business cards to signage. | Project Title: Brand Development | Client: Goodspanner Tyre Centre | Date of Project: November 2008 | ||||||||
Goodspanner required us to evaluate an already established brand that was falling short in appeal to a large segment of the tyre market. The brief was to totally re-visit the brand and ensure its visual presence appealed to its established male customers and also to an increasing female customer base, which meant a total re-brand of their existing image. The tyre centre sought a modern, neutral and iconic solution that had plenty of graphic scope for implementing signage throughout the reception and workshop. The re brand coincided with a major new interior design scheme and fit out. +more
We backed the primary brand in black with a bright orange accent colour to really make the new logo pop and cut through. A contemporary look, with older retro garage elements was the plan. This meant an old Goodspanner character could be resurrected, 'Harry' the friendly service technician. Harry was re illustrated and re-launched along with the brand in 2008. The idea of creating a friendly atmosphere both in fit out and branding was essential to open up the centre's potential to the female market. The spanner was a simple and iconic device to lock in that leant itself to the expansion and development of many icons throughout the workshop. The logo is strong in both positive and reverse form giving the brand visibility and highly adaptable positioning across a wide range of substrates. The brand package included a comprehensive style guide, business stationary and signage design. |

| Project Title: Wall Graphics | Client: The Galleries Victoria | Date of Project: September 2008 | ||||||||
Themed graphics were required for a basement food court at The Galleries Victoria, Sydney. A modern looking structure in the heart of Sydney's CBD, the food court lacked feeling and appeal which is crucial in a place many city professionals and student go to eat and relax. With three floors of retail and closely linked with other major retail complexes, it needed an edge to visually lift it up and strike home with its customers. +more
The idea of fun quotation with bold colour's appealed to us greatly to give customers a strikingly colourful journey through food in a humorous way. We plucked various quotes from famous chefs, celebrities, authors and even cartoons to bring the food court to life. Bold typography was used to illustrate the journey around the room, combined with a loose line of simple illustration to set the scene. The entire theming was produced in self adhesive vinyl printed full colour. As well as the wall theming, four large light-box designs were produced to feature over the coming months. The theming was well received not only by the public, but brought amusement to the vendors themselves. |

| Project Title: Brand Development | Client: Manly Mainstreet | Date of Project: July 2007 | ||||||||
The branding of Manly's central retail environment was a great project to be involved in. Commissioned by Manly Centre Management and Manly Council, the logo design needed to be a clean and contemporary visual link to the new Manly and all it has to offer. The scope of works included the brand and a complete set of signage components leading to the design and distribution of a Manly shopping directory. +more
The brand and positioning line was created during lengthy analysis of Manly's diverse community and tourism trends. It was important to keep it symbolic of its main draw card, the ocean. The type was shaped to give subtle aqueous serifs to complement the watery nature of the logo. The waves were specifically positioned to interact with the type and allow our tag-line to be locked in place. To help us launch the brand effectively, we also devised and commissioned a series of four photos to highlight points of interest throughout Manly. 'Shop - Taste - Live - Feel' was created to give us connection an enable us to market the retail, dining, recreational and environmental draw cards of this beach side community. The key project elements were a Branding/Identity system, signage design and a centre directory. All elements were defined in a comprehensive style guide. |
